Team
Built by People Who Have Solved This Before
Two decades of 3D infrastructure experience — from Hollywood render farms to Fortune 500 product configurators — applied to the problem of connecting your product data to your customers.
The Experience Behind the Platform
Every architectural decision in Land of Assets is shaped by hard-won experience: the photo shoot that couldn't scale to 47 fabric variants, the configurator that went stale when engineering updated a dimension, the CPQ bottleneck that put a salesperson in the loop on every standard custom order.
The team has built 3D infrastructure across Hollywood production pipelines and Fortune 500 commerce operations. We have seen what breaks at scale, what configurators actually need to convert, and what it takes to keep product data consistent when it lives across engineering, marketing, and commerce simultaneously. Land of Assets is built against those failure modes from the start.
Ben Houston — Founder

Ben Houston has spent his career at the intersection of 3D graphics, web technology, and enterprise software.
He co-created Deadline, the render farm management system that became the industry standard for Hollywood VFX — adopted by virtually every major studio and later acquired by Amazon, where it now runs inside AWS as Deadline Cloud.
He is a long-time contributor to Three.js and a co-author of the glTF standard at the Khronos Group — the open format that is now the universal language for 3D on the web.
He founded Threekit, which raised $65 million and built visual commerce infrastructure used by Crate & Barrel, Jacuzzi, Milwaukee Tool, Steelcase, Ralph Lauren, and dozens more Fortune 500 companies — across furniture, kitchen & bath, industrial equipment, building products, and luxury goods.
Land of Assets distills that full arc — VFX pipeline engineering, open standards work, and a decade of enterprise visual commerce — into a platform any product team can use.

For more than 20 years, our team has created production software trusted by global Fortune 500 companies.

Open Standards, Open Ecosystem
The team has contributed to the open 3D ecosystem for over two decades — through Three.js, the glTF standard at Khronos, FreeCAD integration, and Blender pipelines. That commitment runs through Land of Assets: glTF as the universal interchange format, native support for Blender and FreeCAD as source formats, and public assets hosted and delivered at no cost.
We built on open platforms because we believe the future of 3D content belongs to open standards — and we want every team that builds on that foundation to succeed.
